I read an interesting article with regard to overcoming panic attacks by a very simple method by changing the way you think and being in an attitude gratitude frame of mind
Okay but when I am experiencing a panic attack I have shooting pains going through my body and I feel like my body is going to explode how can I change the way I think?
I fully understand that question because of my past experience. The answer is simple start to focus on the things you are thankful for. Start with simple things like the eyes to be able to read this article many people that are blind would be overjoyed to be able to do this.
Or focus on something else for example the roof over your head your family or children there are so many choices. It is important to be aware that one positive thought is one hundred times more powerful than a single negative thought and when a person is in a state of panic that is just one negative thought. It is a fact the human mind can only think one thought at a time. I know this is hard to comprehend when thoughts arrive at such a rapid pace but this is a fact.
One of my hobbies is walking. The great thing about walking is do not have to walk very far before you find someone worst off than you. Everyday I see people in wheelchairs unable to walk but the strange part is they have usually wearing a smile.
Why is that?
They have learnt the secret of accepting the negatives and turning them in to positives.
Panic attacks depression, are usually relative to things going on in your life right now. Is it any wonder with all the pressure we put on ourselves? However the feelings you are feeling right now are just a residual of your past and you can change that in a moment by focusing on things you are grateful for.
